Public Waiver Signature View

This guide explains how participants interact with your waiver forms through the public signature view and what to expect during the signing process.

Overview

The public waiver signature view is what your participants see when they access your portal link. It provides a streamlined interface for reviewing and signing waivers without requiring them to create an account.

Step-by-step

  1. Participant accesses the portal

    When a participant clicks your portal link (https://eventwaivers.com/p/{your-portal-slug}), they'll see the portal landing page with information about the event and required waivers.

  2. Starting the signature process

    The participant clicks the "Sign Waiver" button of they waiver they wish to sign to begin the process.

  3. Personal information collection

    The participant is prompted to enter their personal information:

    • Full name
    • Any additional fields you've set up

  4. Waiver review and signing

    For each waiver in your portal:

    • The participant is shown the full waiver text
    • Required fields are highlighted
    • They must scroll through and review the entire document
    • Digital signature is captured using the signature pad
  5. Signature capture

    The participant signs using:

    • Mouse (on desktop)
    • Finger or stylus (on mobile/tablet)
    • They can clear and retry if needed

  6. Confirmation page

    After signing all waivers:

    • A confirmation page is displayed
    • A receipt is emailed to the participant
    • A copy of the signed waiver(s) is attached to the email

Notes

  • The signature process is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices
  • Participants can save their progress and return later if they need to step away
  • All signatures are timestamped and securely stored with encryption
  • The system automatically adapts to light and dark mode based on the participant's device settings
