Inviting Organization Members

Learn how to invite team members to your organization in EventWaivers and manage their access permissions.

Overview

EventWaivers allows you to invite team members to your organization with different permission levels. This enables collaborative management of events, waivers, and portals while maintaining appropriate access controls.

Step-by-step

  1. Access organization members

    From your dashboard, navigate to "Organization" in the sidebar, then select "Members."

  2. View current members

    The members page displays all current users in your organization along with their roles.

  3. Send a new invitation

    Click the "Invite Member" button in the top-right corner of the members page.

  4. Fill in invitation details

    In the invitation form, provide:

    • Email Address: The recipient's email address
    • Role: Select from available roles (Owner, Admin, Member, Viewer)
    • Custom Message (optional): Add a personalized note

  5. Understanding roles

    Choose the appropriate role based on the member's responsibilities:

    • Admin: Can manage portals, waivers, and other members (except Owners)
    • Member: Can create and manage portals and waivers, but cannot modify organization settings
  6. Manage pending invitations

    Pending invitations appear in the "Pending Invitations" section of the members page. You can:

    • Cancel an invitation before it's accepted
  7. Recipient acceptance process

    When a recipient receives the invitation:

    • They'll get an email with an "Accept Invitation" link
    • Clicking the link takes them to EventWaivers
    • If they don't have an account, they'll be prompted to create one
    • After signing in, they'll be automatically added to your organization
  8. Managing existing members

    For existing members, you can:

    • Change their role by clicking "Edit Role"
    • Remove them from the organization by clicking "Remove"

Notes

  • You can invite an unlimited number of members based on your subscription plan
  • Members can belong to multiple organizations with different roles in each
  • When removing a member, they will lose access immediately
  • Email notifications are sent when roles are changed
